google yahoo gm owners and you will find it, just pretend you have a 2010 tahoe, and you should find the manual.
This only works for the owners manual. The navigation manual is something separate. The owners manual merely points you to the navigation manual.

I was looking to possibly installing a Navigation unit in my 10' Silverado LT. I called my GM dealer and he took down my VIN and told me that it was not possible to install the navigation system in my truck. I realize that there may wiring issues or whatnot but I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and successfully installed a unit. Also, is there a specific part number for the nav system required for my truck or would a previous model nav system work (08 or 09)? I do have the Interior Plus Package that includes a USB in the front for an iPod or Mp3 player to be connected. This probably connects to the unit as well and I've heard the 2010 nav unit is the only one with a USB port in the back? Any information would help. Thanks ahead

Default welp

For a head unit, check this out:

https://chevroletforum.com/forum/tahoe-suburban-25/2007-tahoe-lt-aftermarket-navigation-34723/

it's cheaper, and 'better' than factory; while looking factory (I'm only going by the specs, I don't have this thing, nor do they pay me).

As for manuals:

GM must have heard me.

http://www.chevrolet.com/owners/chevy-manuals/

a USEFUL web site... with USEFUL information. Only goes back to '08, so it's still GM's standard 1/2 assed approach to technology... but hey; it's a start.

BRP (makers of sea-doo) go back to EVERY model with EVERY part diagram, EVERY part number from 1996 to this year. on their web site.

http://epc.brp.com/SiteMods/BRP_Publ...oo%2csportboat

just hit 'enter' don't enter your email.

Now that's how you make a USEFUL web site for parts. Where this GM? Ford? Toyota?! c'mon. Are your part numbers top secret?

I took a look at that head unit. I'm going to wait for someone to post a useful review about using it because I'm pretty skeptical about spending $650 on a unit that might work or have any issues. Plus it's an aftermarket system and I've had such bad experiences with those. Thanks for directing me to it though. Much appreciated

Update: I asked the dealer specifically why the 2010 Nav unit would not work with my truck and he explained that there are two things that happen: the sound will either not be loud enough or it will be too loud and blow the speakers. I asked him if it had to do with not having an amplifier or a Bose system in my truck and he said he's not sure but that's what he was told by his installer. Has anyone encountered a problem like this installing a 2010 Nav unit in a non-bose truck?
