Default 2010 Tahoe Lighting Upgrade Options

I am not impressed at all with the stock headlights on my '10 LTZ. I was thinking of going HID but I was told its best to get projector housings and it ended up being $$$. Has anyone upgraded to a PIAA light and saw better brighter performance or should I just save up for an HID conversion kit and housings? THanks in advance.

Without projector housings, HIDs wind up blinding oncoming drivers. Get the right stuff.

I heard that the Sylvania hi-end bulbs are brighter than stock. Lot cheaper too.

I saw one about a year ago but it was fugly. Think it was at Stylin' Trucks. Might try shopcreativecustoms.com . Their website is a little hard to navigate but they probably have something.

I looked for projector housings for mine and only found ugly stuff also. Everything looks too import tuner. I would love to find a light looked exactly like stock but with a projector. If you find something post a picture or a link.

Do Escalades have the same size housing that would fit?

Default No

the headlights from the Esky would fit the Yukon, but not the Tahoe...

I like the 2010 Esky headlights, LED right?

The Escalade lights are only LED if it's a Platinum edition, otherwise they're HID. I had PIAA's in the '07 and while they are an improvement, it's not what I expected. I put 35 watt HID's in the '09 and that's better, but just doesn't have the beam pattern I'd like. I have no issues with blinding others. There is a company that offers the real fix, a projector conversion to your stock housings using I believe Lexus projectors. This is $$$ but by all accounts it's the cat's rear. I don't have the link here at work, but I can post it later.

another thing i was told which i did was, set your approch lighting and exit lighting to OFF if you get HID. When you approach your vehicle and hit the remote it will kick on your lights then you get it and start it and they turn off and back on. I heard it ends up frying your ballast or bulbs quick.
