2012 Suburban 5.3 VLOM
Cylinder 4 and 7 are deactivating (AFM) right after starting the engine. Replaced the VLOM and ECM no help. Disconnect the VLOM connector and no more deactivation, runs perfect. I checked for a ground short on the VLOM pins but found none. I assume the ECM applies a ground signal to deactivate cylinders? I am thinking the wiring must be shorted but since it meters good… Any thoughts from the group?
