Default Is 2013 5.3 oil consumption/AFM issues diagnosable prior to purchase?

Good morning folks. New member here. I'm considering purchasing a 2013 Suburban LTZ with 100,000 miles. I have done lots of reading on the oil consumption issues of these engines, but I have not been able to determine if the issue is able to be diagnosed quickly or not. From what I've read, it seems like people notice their car burning too much oil over time, which is what indicates the issue. The dealership selling the Suburban (independent dealer) is cool with me taking the vehicle to any shop of my choosing for a pre-vehicle inspection, so ultimately, my question is...should I expect the shop to be able to tell if this particular motor is good or not from a standard prevehicle inspection process? Or would it more involved (pulling valve cover, heads, etc)? I certainly don't want to purchase it simply with crossed fingers and a prayer that it's good. As a current Ford 5.4L owner, I don't want another vehicle with major engine woes

Thanks!

Oil changes and oil quality used are the major factors.
My '11 5.3 Tahoe bought with 35k miles on it is now at 122k miles and uses about a half qt. of oil when I change it by the oil life system saying it's at 10% which works out to 6500-7500 miles depending on winter or summer.
I only use full synth. oils and fluids in it also.
Range AFM eliminator has been installed in it since I've gotten it also. I also tow with it.
No sure way to tell other than if engine is sludged up from poor oil maintenance and that usually apparent just looking into the oil fill cap area.
Used at 100k miles is a gamble as you don't know it's history. Trans. fluid condition and transfer case fluid are other items to check also.
