Default 2014 Suburban Dual Entertainment System - Playing movies from a USB drive

In the center console of our 2014 Suburban there is a USB outlet. Can I plug in a USB drive that has movies in it and play them using the entertainment system? The rear “center console” has the 3 RCA outlet options, so if the entertainment system cant read the movies from the USB drive what would be the least expensive way to get the movies to play?
I found a “USB drive reader” with a usb power outlet and a “connector cord” that goes from a USB end to the 3 RCA plugs at the other end; would that set up get the movies to play?
We have 4 kids (ages 6 through 10) and we’re taking a road trip soon! Please help me and my husband’s sanity while we’re on the road! 😌
Can has any photos needed if necessary…

Yes, it just shows it as a power usb outlet option, but doesn’t mention in the entertainment section of it if it can read a usb and to analog like the cd/dvd player can.

I might be able to see a device is connected, but it would still need some software "driver" to properly communicate with the hardware. Then on top of that you would need some app in your infotainment system that would be able to project and play the DVD. So the short answer is I doubt it can.

Some newer vehicle models allow you to project your iPhone screen onto the infotainment screen so technically you can open up your YouTube app and watch it on your infotainment screen. Not sure if the 2014 Suburban has this feature but you would need to setup Apple CarPlay and see if you can somehow show your iPhone on the infotainment screen.
