Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Pain in the Butt

Has anyone had the lane departure sensors removed from the driver seat? The 2015 seats are smaller and less comfortable than any of my other Suburban seats, but would be acceptable if I didn't have two hard objects digging into each thigh.

Welcome to the forum..
Is it the seat bolsters you are not comfortable with or the vibrating lane departure feature?
I had a 2015 Suburban for a rental a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased with the comfort of the seating.

I agree that the seats are not as comfortable or as cushion as the previous model.

I'm referring to the sensors that are mounted in the seat bolsters, not the actual vibrating of the lane departure sensors. I turned the vibrating feature off before I left the parking lot of the dealership. The sensors are mounted too high in the seat. My question was about removing the sensors completely or possibly re-mounting them under the seat.

I understand now... you may have the be the ground breaker on that one....
some seats are "relatively" easy to remove the covers to access such items...
I was able to easily remove the seat covers off of my daughters 09 Cobalt to wash them after a few drink spills but the coverings on the Tahoe Suburban could be another story... BUT you would think some serviceability may have been built in for those items like the vibrator and heating unit for the heated cooled seats....
