My wife has a used 2018 Suburban, she bought it used and it did not come with headphones for the DVD player. We bought replacement headphones (Part# 22863046) for the Suburban. The headphones arrived yesterday, but she cannot get the headphones to work in the car. The DVD player plays sound through the vehicle speakers, but not the headphones, is there an option to enable the headphones? Will the car speakers override the headphones? Does she need to turn on the DVD player then switch the speakers to the radio to enable the headphones?

Welcome to the forum, I would speculate that the headphones or the radio need to be programmed or "paired" if you will with the system. The headphones likely have instructions on how to set them, if not a trip to the dealership may be needed to program one, both or the other.
