2021 Tahoe rear diff rebuild q’s
I’m getting a rubbing noise when turning at slow speed either direction and determined the clutches in the differential need to be replaced. It’s quiet going straight, but the tighter the turn the more noticeable the noise. I have been trying to find a master rebuild kit with all the bearings and seals and shims, I already have a new differential from the dealer.
Does anyone have suggestions where to look please, I’ve tried performance shops and four-wheel-drive shops online and can’t seem to locate anything for this differential in model years ‘21 through ‘25.
I bought the truck used in late 22 with about 55,000 miles and currently have a little over 110,000 miles, I started noticing this noise about six months ago and recently had the differential fluid changed at a Ford dealer as it was purchased used from a Ford dealer with a service contract and I don’t know if the need to add friction modifiers is unique to the Chevrolet clutch differential or universal throughout various models, but the noise seems to become much more pronounced since the differential oil change about 2000 miles ago.
any suggestions are welcome thank you.
