I know this is a known issue with these motors. I had a lifter fail and GM just told me the cam needed to be replaced also. It’s 9k miles over the warranty. GM agreed to pay 50%. How much did y’all pay for repairs?? Did anybody get GM to cover all of it when the warranty is just out?

 

Welcome to Chevy - I asssume you have seen the long theads on this topic - how many miles on your '21? Since this is a well know disaster, seems to me Chevrolet needs to make it right on a two year old vehicle, unless your miles are way above average

 

Yes I’ve seen the threads. It has a 69k miles on it. We’ve had it for 3 years tho. Got it at the beginning of 21. Dealer is quoting be around 7k for everything.

 

Welcome to the forum. Was there ever a class action law suit on this issue?

 

Maybe get a 2nd opinnion from an independant mechanic if GM isn't going to make it right like they should
