Default 4WD selector switch

Anybody notice this switch getting hot? I just drove my 07 Tahoe 100 miles in Auto mode and noticed the selector hotter than the rest of the dials. This is the first time I've used any other modeother than 2WD mode.
Thanks

This is normal and caused by the backlighting bulb(s).

Thanks ZX. I figured that but it was a lot hotter than the rest of the dials, headlight switch, radio, etc

While we are discussing this switch I also have a question. Is it designed to press inward in case you hit it with your leg while entering??

Mine presses in and then clicks in place. I can press it and it clicks in again. Normal or broken?

I have noticed thatI've hit it while entering several times.

It should not press inward, you must be pretty tall or at least have some long legs.

The reason that the switch runs warmer then the others is that it has two bulbs in the assembly, one for backlighting the other is the orange indicator light.
