have an 89 suburban fuel injected 350 700 r trans? starts fine. driving down the road it will start losing power and die. let it sit for a few seconds key on it starts right up and runs a little farther. changed the framerail fuel filter and air filter are there any other filters or what else could be the culprit??????????????????

found that fuel tank must be near full to run. (fuel gauge isn't working). seems that when tank gets down 4 gallons or so it starts dying. the lower the tank gets the worst the dying is. guess it has a bad pickup tube or something. any other ideas?
