The Sonnax part number is 100420-01K for a 1.180" diameter shaft or 100420-02K for a 1.375" shaft. I got the parts from a local trans repair shop. It was simple enough to drop the t-case off and then drop the trans tail shaft housing off and replace the snap ring. I found the old snap ring in pieces in the tail shaft housing - good clue to the problem. You can probably google the part numbers. There is a good schematic picture that comes with the repair parts.

I believe having the same problem for a couple days now , i thought the noise came from transmission , but then i check my crankcase oil and it was full of tiny little pieces of metal . The noise it's like trying to put in gear a manual transmission without pressing the clutch , that's how it's sound to me . I'll check in the morning , I really like this site .

actually I was wondering on my 1995 tahoe 2 door 4wd , is it easy to remove the crankcase and install a longer driveshaft ? cause anyway since i replace the rear diff with a 3.73 posi and remove the front driveshaft and half shaft to front wheels , my crankcase is use less , so what I need is a support for the tranny from the cross member since the crank case is supporting it . is there any bracket that fit on the cross member to support directly the tranny ?
