I normally tow my boat with my 06 Hoe and don't have any problems with it. I need to tow the boat with my 96 Hoe this weekend but have a problem (no trailer lights). I bought a hopkins plug in simple t connector and installed it. Now here is were the problem comes to play.

With the daytime running lights on all functions of the trailer lights work properly (i.e. brakes, hazzards, left and right turn signals). When I turnthe head lightsON (makes the dash light up), the left turn signal makes the trailer blink both lights (just like the hazzards). The right signal works fine and so do the brakes and running lights.

I am usaully in before dark, but if I have to tow in the dark I'm a bit worried.

Any one have an idea whyI has a problem whenthe headlights turn on?
