Default 96 tahoe slugish on take of

My Tahoe will die if i put it in drive and gun it, i have to feather the throttle in order to keep her running. It'll idle just fine, if i snap the throttle real quick, it'll bog down, and never rev up, but if i put her to the floor with it in park, it'll bog down like it does, then rev up normal. once i get going in speed, i don't really notice anything wrong, any thoughts? its the early model vortec.
