thing always had a very slow crank over, battery and alt is fine, thought the starter was starting to lose it after all the years so replaced it, now it engages but wont crank at all, cranked around one time since but now its just acts like its frozen and doesnt have the strength to turn the fly??

Check the battery cable bolts

 

seem fine, good and tight, clean, everything connected securley and fits flush, thanks for the speedy reply..
