99 Suburban 4x4 front breaks compatible with 00 Suburban 4x4 front breaks
Hello all,
As a new member of this forum, I am hoping you guys will help me out! Sorry if this issue has been addressed in the past.
I just recently replaced the front breaks in my 2000 Suburban 4x4 due to a small squeak I heard coming from the front breaks (so I thought). I purchased the kit online (disks, pads, etc.).
After many hours of trying to figure out how to take off the front breaks, they looked really good! No grooves and the pads had plenty of life left. That being said, I continued with the install and made it through it. A learning experience for sure!
So once everything is back together and then for the test drive, I still hear squeaks! Tuns out, it is the back breaks! So frustrating, but my fault for sure.
Fast forward!!
Now my front breaks on my 1999 Suburban 4x4 are out of control and squeaking like no other! I know for a fact this time that the front breaks are bad!
All this being said, I have a set of really nice front disk breaks and pads from my 2000 Suburban 4x4 and I am hoping I can put this set on my 1999 Suburban 4x4.
I am hoping someone can let me know if this is possible and if they are compatible before I take everything off of my 99 suburban to try and fix my breaks.
Amazon says the 99 and 00 front breaks are not compatible. A1 Auto on you tube says they are compatible.
Please help as I need you advice and expertise!
Thanks you so much for you help as I really do appreciate it!
Take care!
