99 suburban starting problem
I have a 99 k2500 with a 7.4 motor. When I go to start it in the morning it starts right up then I'll drive it to work.
When I go out to lunch to start it I'll have tocrankfor a little bit before itstarts. I have checked the injectors for bleed off, andit has a new fuel pressure regulator. new plugs, wires ,cap and rotor button. the fuel pump is 18 months old ( it is a ac delco pump)fuel pressure is 56 psi. The fuel pressure drops off 6 pounds in 5 minutes with the engine off.
I would appreciate any help to resolve this problem

Fuel pressures are within spec, are these the same pressure readings when the engine is not starting quickly?
Can we assume that a new fuel filter is installed?
Have you checked for any stored DTC's?
Such as P0338 ?
There is an updated Crankshaft Position Sensor, P/N 10456607 that addresses this condition (and several others) but it is a waste of money if code P0338 is not set.
Also could be dirty fuel injectors.
