ABS Question
I changed a leaky 4wd shaft seal today...whew, 6 hour later...during removal of the axle, i accidently stretched the abs sensor cable too far....so i disconnected it. when i put everything back together, my abs light was on...my question is, is there a reset procedure for the abs after disconnection or do you think i damaged the cable. i went in to clear a computer codes, but there isn't any codes to erase. has anyone experienced this. your help would be greatly appreciated, this is my 1st post for my 2003 5.3L 4x4 flexfuel suburban

The ABS has it own computer. Most auto parts code readers will not read the ABS computer. Most ABS codes will self clear instantly when problem is gone. The wire is most likely torn in the jacket.

You have OBD-II. You should be able to retrieve your ABS codes. My Cadillac is a '99 and it does it.
If you don't have a scanner, go to AutoZone and they will check them for free.
