With the Tekonsha, did you also have to add a 30A fuse to the trailer brakes in position 36 under the hood? Did you use the GM specific cable to go into the open port under the dash?

No, I did not have to add a fuse on the 2018 Suburban Premier. I purchased the adapter cable that plugs directly into the Tekonsha and the open port under the dash so I didn’t need to wire the pigtails together with the cable that came with the truck.

Awesome, thank you, sir. I ordered the P3 and vehicle-specific cable for the 2017 'Hoe but then started second guessing myself as to whether I needed to do anything else, so thank you for the information.
