Default Am I paying too much for this 2009 suburban?

2009 Suburban LT

MSRP 47,830

4,000 rebate

Quoted invoice and rebate at $41,730

Am I missing any available discounts? Dealer did not mention $1,000 old age discount (car has been on lot for over 45 days) and he did not mention $500 discount instead of 60 day return option. What about financing discounts? I dont have a GM card or anything like that.

He showed me invoice and it was only 2,100 below MSRP. I thought invoice should be around 3-4K under MSRP for the burb.

Price seems high considering it's only about 13% savings.

What dealer and where are you? If you have the VIN that wowuld be even better. If you get me that info I'll compare it to the supplier price. If supplier price is better I'll get you an authorization to get that price. Sounds about right though.

I sent you a PM.

I am going to buy it from them. The salesman is a great guy and I'm glad to do business with him. I just want to make sure I'm not overpaying.

You need to price shop. If That is an 09 you should get it for less than that. Did you price shop? I would say 8-10k under MSRP is about right for an 09 with current incentives. Shop around, try a larger/volume dealer. Good luck but I wouldnt buy an 09 for only 6k off MSRP.

Also, keep in mind what you are shown as invoice is not what the dealer has in the vehicle. Most people accept the shown invoice price as what the dealer has in it, but dont think there arent hidden profits like "holdback" money.
