Default Amp install

Ok, finally after splicing about 15 diferrent wires I found an accesory wire that will turn on the amp and not leave it on all the time. Its a green wire thats in a plug by the driver side kick panel. If anybody is still trying to figure it out I can take pictures and post them. Good luck and thanks to those who helped in my previous threads..

Yes I had a Kicker amp installed for a 12" sub. It was only turning on with the car on. Somebody here said that was not normal so I spent all morning looking for a different wire that will bring the amp on when the ignition is in acc. I found a website that directed me to this wire and it works. All other wires will leave the amp on all the time. Weird thing though, my tire pressure sensing light no longer comes on. Everything else is working perfect. Here are two pics. The first is the remote wire for the amp, the second is the high to low converter. Hope these help.

Did you tap into a wire that controls that feature. If I install my JL equipment then I will take it in to get it done.I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks for the info. Do you have any pics of the amp and speaker install?location? etc.

Its actually pretty easy to install. If you have ever done one then you can do it. Im not sure if I tapped into the wire that controls the tire monitor feature. Either way I have 22" aftermarket wheels and the light stayed on all the time. Providing nothing else starts acting up I consider it a succes because I've been trying to figure out how to turn the darn light off. Every wire I tapped into I covered with electrical tape. Not sure how this happened. The amp is under the 2nd row, 60(longer) part. This is the speaker.

the install looks good...my only suggestion to u is to solder and tape ur connections instead of using t-taps because its a solid connection this way u dont have to worry about anythin coming apart. also did u add the high-low converter after the the bose amp or before? how did u check the acc wire with a power probe, test light, or multi-meter?

The converter was done at a shop. From what I can tell its before the bose amp. I will consider soldering the connections. I found a website that pointed me to the acc wire. Thanks..

It is possible with the type of wire splice connectors you used that it cut completly through the wire???

Through which wire? I checked every wire I taped into and they were not cut through. But like I mentioned If somehow I disabbled the tire pressure monitor then Im happy cause I wasn't using it, all I was getting was the light. Its not comming on now. Thanks.

I'm confused about your reference to tire pressure monitor lite. Doesn't it only come on if your tire pressure is below the low limit? (whatever that is) Just curious.

Second the recommendation on soldering. Good pics.
