Trying to work deal with local wheel shop to trade stock polished wheels for a set of aluminum 'avalanche' style wheels. Any issues with these wheel specs:

Thanks..anyone got a pic of these wheels on a 2007 Tahoe? Any impressions, etc....they are readily available on Ebay for $750 for a set of four...I think chrome wheels on my white LTZ with Esky roof racks, chrome bowties front and rear, and Cowles 1" chrome mylar along back and along assist steps would really finish off the package. Still need to post pics with the 1" strip on back and assist steps...

Also, I assume that by switching stock 20" wheels to any other 20" wheel using Bridgestone tires that I have now I should feel NO change in ride quality, correct??

Lastly, a local shop here will take stock polished aluminum wheels and put stock tires on these wheels for $500 cash...seems like a pretty good deal, heh?

No I didn't know that....sorry for the ignorance, but I don't know much about wheels and offset, etc.etc. What is offset and what will happen if the offset of the wheels I am looking at is 18mm and stock is 31mm?

Thanks!

The wheel's offset is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. A smaller offset moves the wheels outward.

See this the links below.

Thanks...I searched for it and somehow thought that the smaller offset would push the wheel more inward. I will have to check out how the stock looks and see ifthe extra 1/2" outward would put the wheel/tire outside of the wheel well. Don't want that...

I was looking at the American Racing Torq-Thrust ST, which has a +19 offsett in a 20x8.5 size. Is anyone else running a wheel witha similaroffset? Is it a noticable difference between the stock rims? Would my stock splash guards keep any mud/water from spraying the side of the 'ho?

Good question..I put some 20's on my 2001 Tahoe and everytime i would go through anything it would splash stuff all over the side.....wonder what the offset range is that will prevent this from happening....
