Back Up Camera Problems

I suspect since you've always had the Lockpick, "normal" for you was instant switch. That however is not normal for stock. That's why the Owner's Manual states that you can switch it by pressing the Audio button.

ok, yeah the lockpick has been in this thing since it had 0 miles on it.
well, everything works but auto back up cam, we just have to press window button 4 times and back up cam.
called company who makes lock picks. they said for some reason once and a while the possessors get fried and you have to buy a new lock pick ($210!!)
so, of all the times the batteries been unplugged, this time it fried the lock pick, the technician i spoke to said be careful of battery charges too, well we have had to use a battery charger before a couple times in the past...
also, dont know about you guys but our voltage gauge ALWAYS reads above 15 volts....

Check your voltage w/ a VOM to verify the voltmeter in the dash as they are not very accurate. If it truly is > 15V, then get your alternator checked as you will kill your battery w/ a constant 15V charge rate.
