Took the 2010 Tahoe to the dealer and they found nothing. The battery tested fine and the saw no draw while the truck sat overnight. They told me to call them the next time it happens and they will tow the vehicle back to the dealership and run tests on it then. I just hope it doesn't happen away from home. Thanks for all the replies

I had mine in the dealer today for oil change, tire rotation and asked them to check out my charging system also as I had a dead(weak) battery several weeks back and it also seems to be charging more often... they said every thing was fine...

Sorry to hear about your issues with your vehicle in2pro. Has your service advisor been able to take care of your battery issue for you?

Well...ands and no , we spoke on the phone and he said most likely that the Battery light would be on if the charging system had a fault. My battery was replaced under warranty approx 18mo ago. But since I am out of warranty on my truck and the 12/12 for the battery. He could only replace it at a cost to me.. He said they are difficult to find and he had them in stock. I am lucky enough to have access to AC/Delco parts at cost via a friend and was able to get a battery and installed it myself.

how much did you pay for the AC Delco battery? that is why I like Autozone - the stores are very handy and 3 year free replacement on their gold and platinum lines. my battery died in my Acura with 35 months of use. replaced for $0 with another $100 battery in the parking lot.

I'm not convinced that this new computer controlled charging system is that great. Too many batteries dying within warranty. My experience has been that they always last a month or two after the warranty period.
