Battery or charging system issues
how much did you pay for the AC Delco battery? that is why I like Autozone - the stores are very handy and 3 year free replacement on their gold and platinum lines. my battery died in my Acura with 35 months of use. replaced for $0 with another $100 battery in the parking lot.

I charged it up this evening as I did not have a lot of time to charge it yesterday when he brought it home to me and I didn't want to leave it on the charger unattended overnight...hopefully it was just a bad battery and not something else...I may barrow his battery/electrical systems checker again to see how this new battery is performing...
Once I get the bill I will repost...but he will most likely give me his cost so it won't be realistically comparative...
My neighbor finally brought me the bill, he was trying to warranty the old battery but the dealer cut the date code tag out so he was not able to....
It cost me $75...he said the AC Delco batteries are manufactured in Taiwan...and that the do not put the date of manufacture on them until they arrive here in the US because they can spend up to 3 months in transport
He said he gave me one of the newest ones he had, even at that it needed a good charge but it has been working very well...
He said that a used battery is worth about $16 in its lead alone if recycled....

Our Ac Delco rep has been telling us they are made in US. I just looked at all the batteries we have in stock, the professional series all say Detriot Michigan and the regular (ACD line) do not. I could not fnd a made in sticker on any of them.
I do see the Detroit address but I assume that is the Home Address of AC/Delco... maybe the made in Korea was the stickers?!?
the main sticker on my new battery faces the fender well so I can't see it as well... It's now becoming a mission of curiosity....

I doubt it, the stickers never say where they are made!!!
though usually the home address is on the product some parts or the whole thing is made somewhere else, or at least assembled overseas!!!
