Black paint w/metallic?
I have a black LTZ and have noticed on bright days that there is a hint of metallic in the paint. Don't have a problem with it but just wondered if anyone else had noticed it in their black 07 Tahoes. Mine was built in Wisconsin.
My fears were realized when I picked up the truck after some fairly minor damage ($1,700) to the lower portion below the molding on both left side doors. While the dealer's body shop manager stated that they used the correct GM paint code for my truck, when we looked at it in bright sunlite, it was obvious that the doors had no metallic. Now they have to get a GM rep to look at it. [
] This is a May 2006 build. Since no one ever responded to original post, I'm led to believe this is a rare paint job. Not sure why tho.

Check the paint code on the service tag in the glove box, it should read "WA8555" for color Black 41 which is what was applied to 2007 Tahoe at the factory.
There should be no metallic in this paint.

Maybe you got one of those 4:00 p.m. on a Friday afternoon paint specials. Seriously, I wish my Dark Blue was not metallic. Mine looks almost purple in bright sunlight - Not a big deal, just not crazy about it. I purchased it on a cloudy day.
