I used the permetex rear window repair kit with good luck. You need to follow the directions and they have a you tube link for it. It lasted three years and now my 3yr old ripped it off, so I need to repair it again.

Thanks for your reply! I'm going to order the permatex kit and try it out. I'll report back when I have finished. I wonder how will I know if the connection is working? My back window is tinted, so I don't thnk I can use my multimeter to check continuity etc.

Just an update, today we had ice on the windows from an overnight freezing rain session, and sad to say the defroster isn't working, so the fix I applied back in august did not work. I may just end up replacing the rear glass...

Well, as they say on another forum I frequent, "pepper your angus." Rear glass is expensive. I seem to recall I got a quote of like $800.

I see brand new in box rear windows on Ebay for ~ $450 shipped, I can probably do the install myself, I believe its all bolt on.

Hey guys. My 07 suburban has two connections one on each side of the glass. My passenger side connector to glass fell off. I do have voltage going to it. My driver side is good but no voltage. Is voltage required on both sides to defrost ot just one?

-power just one side. the other side should go to grd.
