Buying 2003 Sub - what to look for
I own a '04 Suburban z71. Bought it in 2012 with 140k; it now has 184k. It has been a great vehicle.
I agree, make sure to check the maintenance records. If the vehicle has been taken care of then it will last a long time.
Check to see if the fuel pump has been changed; they tend to go out between 100k - 150k. I had a '94 burb that blew it's pump on the highway.
With this one I change the pump myself last June just as a precaution. It was the original pump.
One of the biggest headaches on these are the knock sensors; I replaced them as well. They get moisture in them and rust out.
But overall; like "oldchevy" said; check to see if it was well cared for.
