A/c Trouble -03 Tahoe
When I turn on my a/c and make a hard left or right, I hear this loud noise. It sounds like a fluttering of a belt or door..It kinda sounds like a pencil being rubbed across a picket fence or something. Its difficult to describe..The fan is blowing, I replaced the a/c belt about two weeks ago, I had the coolant system flushed last year. I believe the air is cool. it would help to understand how the a/c works and possibly a diagram of some sort..How can you tell if the compressor is going bad...I have taken the truck to the dealership and they really don't have any answere, I had noises in my truck.. I'm afraid I'll be on a trip and everything just stops working....
Welcome to the forum.
Since you just replaced the belt, my guess is that it's not tite enuf.
A/C works by allowing a high pressure liquid expand into a low pressure space which absorbs heat, the compressor compresses the lo temp, lo press gas into a hi temp, hi press gas which goes thru the condensor which condenses it into a hi temp, hi press liquid. Cycle starts all over.
