Hi

i have a 96 tahoe with a 5.7 V8
For a wile now I have notes that the A/C Compressor engages like every 2 to 5 min, it stays on for less then a min, but the motor has to adjust its idle every time the compressor clicks on. And every thing is off, defrost/heater / ex...... Is this normal? I would not think so but I have only had this truck for 6 months.

I don’t know if these two problems can be related but lately the stereo stays on even if the key is off.

Hmmm, seems a little weird. Has anyone hacked into the wiring before?

Start with the simple things, like replacing the A/C relay maybe...

 

I don’t think any one has messed with the wiring. I now I haven’t

I will check the relay for the A/C.

Can the radio be staying on because of a bad ignition switch?
