Car jolts accelerating from a stop
Good afternoon.
I have a 2018 suburban LT with 79k miles. 2wd
I have been experiencing an issue with a jolting, jumping, hesitation (hard to describe) when accelerating from a stop only.
If I remove the parking brake and roll down the drive way (forward) and then accelerate it doesn’t happen.
if I slow down and then speed up again on the road (but don’t completely stop) it doesn’t do it.
if a slowly accelerate from a stop, it doesn’t do it.
only when I press the gas (not excessive) from a dead stop. No rpm changes with this jolting/thumping feeling when it occurs
normal maintenance has been done on the vehicle
cleaned mass air flow sensor
pulled the drive shaft to grease the splines but atf leaked out so I have read that was responsible for lubricating the splines
transmission fluid changed a little late (55k) but serviced
rear differential fluid changed
it just makes the ride feel annoying when in traffic or stopping for lights, highway driving is not affected at all
any ideas or suggestions? Really want to go back to a smoother ride

sounds like a torque converter (transmission) problem
