ok, I paid close attention to all the little things today....Hard start this morning but I noticed that the security light remained on for 10 seconds...solid light... after it went out it cranked for 5 seconds then started. I noticed that it did it again at lunch as well. If I wait for the light to go out it will start on the first try but takes about 5 seconds to catch..... so how do I fix it? The light shouldnt remain on that long if I remember correctly.

I cleaned the inginition switch but no luck... now I have a coolant leak that I think is the heater core... I wonder if the low coolant is cuasing issues if the CTS is exposed to air and not coolant.

I got the SES today...right after a little misfire. I now have a #4 cylinder misfire code...I have picked up new plugs and wires. Any other suggestions?

My mechanic (good friend that is a mech for John Deer) foundmy coolant leak... lower intake gasket in front and with a cold motor and 16lbs it makes a nice stream down the front of the engine). He thinks it might me part of my cold start issue. Hopefully he will have time to fix it either this weekend or early next week. I will keep you all updated.

Anyone use a NAPA Fuel pump? The one they list for the 5.7L is 80-100 PSI...wont that over work the FPR?

I replaced the fuel pump 14 months ago with a AC Delco (bought and installed at the dealer) so I am a little nervous going with them again. So is Delphi better as I beleive they are the AC delco pump under a different name. Also...any tips for changing it in the driveway?

Make sure the tank is under 1/2 full. Just a thought, with your starting issues I do see that there is also problems with the spider injectors. I did replace a couple sets in the 4.3L and one in a 5.7L before that that took care of the long starting issue.

I have her down under 1/4 tank...solely for the purpose of not having the tank weigh a ton!!

the pump is sounding louder then normal and the gas gauge is acting weird so the sending unit is going out....go figure. At least they are all together.
