Hello all! I'm new hear, been using the search function a bit, but I figure I should go ahead and ask. I'm looking at buying a 2010 Suburban, and I was wondering what seems to be the common issues to look for and address on these vehicles.

I get that displacement on demand has had its issues, but it seems that the issues were mostly with the 2009 and earlier trucks. Is it as common in the 2010+ vehicles?

Anything else to watch for, or ask about as I talk to sellers?

 

Lots of recalls, horrible build quality, mediocre assembly. Lots of stuff to watch out for.

I'd avoid GM. Learn from my mistakes.

The next gen expedition looks promising, as does the new explorer.

Toyota has the sequoia.
