Default courtesy light on retractable running board

For a 2017 Suburban. does anyone have any info on how to go about replacing one. I am finding very little info on this. My light went out this winter. It was flickering when coming down but went out completely. I have not even looked at it yet but i am about to. I just thought I'd post here to see what comes up. It would be nice it it were brighter as well really.

I did not know the power boards in newer years had a light in them. My '11 has the lights in the bottom of the outside mirrors which I upgraded to LED. Easy to change.

Yep, and ofcourse its not just a regular bulb. Its some long $300 item. No obvious way to remove it and not much if any info online. I was hoping I would catch someone who already did it. Maybe there is a bulb that can be replaced. I'll post back when I get it fixed although it may not be soon. Hopefully before the cold comes though.

I don't have these - do they only come on when boardscome down? If so, may be a switch problem rather than a bulb??

Yes only when they come down. I did notice they were flickering while coming down but then dont stay on when down. They (at least the driver side) dont stay on now or even flicker. Very possible a wire or switch problerm. .
