Default dash face plate/headlights

I am considering changing my dash face plate to something a little easier to see. I know there was an earlier thread that ended with a white gauge face. Has anyone tried the blue color, or silver/stainless look? Anything that may make it easier to see the gauges in the daylight? (i know, a new set of eyes would be nice)

I also recently changed out my low/high beams, did not go with HID kits, instead opted for Toshiba HIR9011 for hb's and H-9's for the lb's, as per the recomendations of Daniel Stern Lighting/CandlePower.
They seem to be brighter, lows beams are a whiter beam now.
Anyone else try these?
