I just want to make everyone aware if you buy a Delphi fuel pump for your primary tank with the fuel gauge sending unit .....the color coded pigtail for the flat plug 4 wire plug update ( original is a square plug) is incorrect....if you splice your harness wires color by color match ....it will not work !
The black and grey are the pump wires
The orange/blk and purple are the sending unit wiresNow ...the black harness wire goes to the far left pin
the grey goes to the far right pin
The other two go in the middle two pins and it doesn't matter which middle two you pick
No one even Delphi or just answers had the true answers...not even Chevrolet as they said oh well it's a Delphi ..lol
I spent two days messing around till I figured this out correctly

Another reason for another $30 you get the Genuine GM pump module and not have any issues.
I'm sure you would have gladly paid that to avoid the aggravation.

 

Absolutely...but every dealer and part store had a week long back order on this part ...I needed to get up and rolling ....this shortage thing is a pain in every business these days
