It should.....they all come with DL8s, so upgrading to the DL3 uses the same methods described in this thread. The only function that won't work is the park/tilt because it shares the memory module for the 8 way power seats only present in the LT3 &LTZ(which from what people tell me is a little used function anyway)

Ebay is always cheapest, but then you never know what you are going to end up with & when you will finally locate it. I'd go new for any OEM upgrade stuff - at least you have the mfr's warranty & none of these parts are exactly cheap! I got all my parts for this upgrade from GMpartsdirect.com, but there are probably other online sources as well - might even try to hit up your dealer for a discount close to online pricing- they seem to mark up everything 50>100% anyway

I went to my local dealer today to have the mirrors installed per the instructions given here....and the tech said they cannot do the re-program, the tech said the dealership did not let him program the mirrors if the truck did not come with them.

Who knows of a shop near Orange County , CA that can do the programming ? Maybe GM Geek can ?

Let me know....Lbckevin@hotmail.com

Here is my suggestion, as I initially had the same reaction from my dealer when I asked if they could installDL3 mirrors.

Install the mirrors yourself, there is nothing to it.

Go to another dealer and schedule a session with their Tech2 maestro. Do not tell them you are converting mirrors - simply tell them that you need the technician to flash the DDM & PDM - "because it is not working". They can then write a simple service order for tech2 programming (not mirror conversion) & will probably charge you for an hour.

GM gives dealers instructions not to support conversion of OEM options - My dealer initially called the GM help line & they were told not to do it - they handed the phone to me & I even had the GM representative on the phone flat out lie to me telling me that if they converted the mirrors they could burn up the wiring harness (BS - as the mirrors direct connect to the modules, not a wiring harness).

Flashing the modules should take no more than 15 minutes.
