I don't have a picture I could take one but that looks yes like my control now when you order the DDS you have to cut out from your bezel the plastic so that the power folding mirror button fits. I did it with one of those artist knives yes pass it from the bottom back & forth & it will cut right off. Measure it before you cut yes put it over it and mark it. That part number I gave you it's a good number I yes bought mines a couple of weeks ago.Now yes check before you buy it to see if its the same number for Tahoe & Silverado. You could check it gmpartsdirect.com.

I just purchased my DL3 mirrors and I bought a used Master window switch from an LTZ....does this mean I still need programming?

Just received my mirrors Just waiting on the switch now. But I had a question about the mirrors. Do only some DL3 mirrors have puddle lights? Mine doesn't have the lights but the turn signals are there. And is the passenger mirror supposed to be differentthan the driver's side "Objects closer than they appear"?

Thanks,
Jason

I got my DL3 from craigslist for $275, both mirrors and the driver side control panel with the wood dash.

Installed them, and got the usual driver side folding results. However, i also noticed curb assist when i was going through the options on the dash. so i set it to both mirrors fold and when i reversed the driver side folded down, but the passenger side did not because it had to be programed.

So i took it to the dealer to get it programed and get my free oil change. The dealer said the motor blew out and will be ordering me new ones, all covered under warranty. But the mirror folded when i had hooked up directly to the driver side control panel. So i guess my dealer did not realize they had to program the mirrors to work.

here is what worked for me right away.
-driver side: power fold, signal arrows, auto dim, and curb assist
-Passenger: signal.

and all my windwos roll down, and i can adjust both mirrors.

Welcome to the Tahoe forum.

In case you aren't aware, the psgr side mirror doesn't dim. Never understood why.

Alright Folks...I'm an owner of a 07 Z71 Avalanche with 2LT option and had always been envious of the power folding mirrors. Last straw was when someone driving took off my driver side mirror when I was parked at a curb because they got too close. Luckily I was in the car and was able to chase them down and have them replace but they could only replace with the manual fold mirror. Anyway...to make a long story short....patience!!!!! it is key to saving money on a 1000.00 option through the dealer. Many parts warehouses are selling DL3 mirrors on eBay for 199.00 and up but if you are patient you can get DL3 mirrors in great condition for 50.00-60.00 I got two DL3 mirrors with LED and puddle lamps for 72.00 + 12.00 shipping because the auction closed at 2:00 AM and no one was awake to bid. Lucky me. Also the DDM I got was from a Cadillac Escalade for 25.00 + 5.00 shipping. again patience is key. these deals come around. If you get the mirrors pop them in because they are easy to come by. you won't have power folding but you will have LED signals. when you do get the DDM you can take apart your old model as the DDM's are in two pieces. All of this can be separated by Torx screws. The upper section of the DDM can be changed from the new DDM (this upper section has all the computer chips in it) and once you put it back together you will have all windows operating. The DDM get's flashed as well through the main computer through Tech II, so from the factory the original DDM is flashed specifically for your computer but not the new DDM. I know it sounds confusing but I know some people might have to do it because they have tough TECH II guys that say they can't do it or won't do it because it is against policy. or they charge 80.00 labor. Well I agree with going in there with a dumbfounded look once you have everything installed and telling them it "for some reason stopped working" . my vehicle is still under warranty but they don't typically check to see what options you have. If it doesn't work it doesn't work and they programmed my BCM for powerfolding and puddle lamps. LED was already a plug and play thing so they didn't need to reprogram for that. Now a word on Puddle Lamps. they are connected to the photoelectric cell that detects darkness and turns on your auto headlights, so they only work at night or in low light situations such as garages and the like. daytime don't expect them to work.

So in summation.....unless you are ordering from the dealer forget part #'s

in ebay search "tahoe suburban avalanche yukon escalade silverado power folding mirrors"

YES THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!

for the DDM search "tahoe suburban avalanche yukon escalade master switch"

AGAIN YES THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!!!!! forget typing in the year because sometimes people forget or don't know what part they have. You just have to do the legwork to find which one will work for you. The master switch looks very similar to your current one but does have an extra button below the mirror select button.

it is all a very fun adventure but again PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE most of us don't have it....but could use it. good luck to everyone!!!

So if I am understanding this correctly... I can put power folding DL3 signal mirrors on my 07 LT1 Tahoe. This will not require for the tech to swap out the control modules from an LTZ to program my LT1 Tahoe correct? All features such as signal, power fold, tilt and puddle light will work?
