Default Dome Lights after VCI Code

I changed from 17" OEM wheels to 20" OEM wheels and had the dealer apply the VCI code. However, now my dome lights won't come on when the doors are opened. The only way I can get them to turn on is by using the dome lamp override and then they stay on until I turn them off.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Update. I took it back to the dealer and was told bad switch. Switched replaced and dome lights now work properly.

Glad it was an easy fix.

Just curious if they told you which switch it was. Seems like there'd be five switches. Can't see how one bad one would affect all of them.

The guy I dealt with pointed to the dome light switch (beside the headlight switch on dash) and he said it was stuck in the "off" position. I tried that switch (multiple times before sucking it up and going back) and it wasn't stuck. It was as if something wasn't telling the dome lights that a door was open.

Yesterday, when I got out of my Tahoe to have the VCI code changed, the lights worked. After the VCI code change, they didn't. I suppose it could have been coincidental but I am a skeptic.

I don't blame your skepticism. I'm not a believer in coincidence especilly when it comes to something not working after the dealer has had it.
