Default Engine Specs?

Can anyone tell me what the early 2000 5.3Lengine specs are? (i.e. horsepower, torque, fuel efficiency est.)

Can anyone tell me what the '99 5.7L engine specs are? (same as above)

This would be greatly appreciated!!!

Default RE: Engine Specs?

I can tell you my 01' 5.3 has 285 hp and 325 lb/ft of torque. Not sure on the 99' though. If i remember my 01' the power was bumped up a little bit so your numbers should be right around there.

The 1999 L31 Vortec 5.7L was rated at 255hp and 330 lb/ft.

The EPA fuel economy ratings varied based on truck application but generally where around 15-City 20-Hwy for both motors.
