Engine Squeaking
My 99 Chevy suburban won’t quit squeaking when I turn it on. The higher the RPM the louder the squeak gets. I’ve already replaced the power steering pump, the idle pulley and gotten a new serpentine belt but it just keeps squeaking. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be?
Welcome from Florida. Remove the serpentine belt and start the engine only for a few seconds to see if it still squeaks. If it still squeaks, then all the pulleys that the serpentine belt turns are not to blame. If the squeak stops then turn each pulley by hand and see if it squeaks or feels rough.
