Default evap module 2004 Z71

My 2004 Z71 sub is coding probleems with the evap - it list 3 problems - either the evap canister (cant find it but its supposed to be behind the gas tank), evap sensor or a connection problem. Is there anyway to check the problem without actually trial and error by replacing then sensor , then later the evap if the sensor isn't the problem

Whats the code(s). Common problem w/these is water/excessive dirt accumulation in canister. Requires vent solenoid replacement (theres an updated one for this reason), vent tube cleaning & canister inspection for water/excessive dirt. If canister is full of dirt or water you have to replace it. Canister isbehind fuel tankmounted on crossmember. Tube runs from vent solenoid into canister. Or it could be as simple as a crapped out fuel cap. Whats the code!?
