Default A few problems with 07 LTZ

I am having a few problems with my 2007 Tahoe LTZ. 2 are minor annoyances while the other seems to be amalfunction or software issue. Just to note, I have the navigation system with the rear camera option.

I'll start with the most annoying problem.

1. I don't know if others have had this issue, but, this has happened twice since I bought it (approx. 8000 miles on it). I can start it up and be fine then all of a suddenmy blinker will not make the "blinking" noise. It appears theblinkers still work because I can seemy side mirrors flashing. Also- my audio controls will not work on the steering wheel. I can't use the "touch screen" on the nav system (I can use the volume ****). Then, when I go to turn it off, the radio will stay on even when I open the doors. I'll restart it and the radio will go off (and stay off - can't turn it on with the power button or use any controls... the screen is black). Then I'll turn it off and on and it will stay off (needless to say, not good on the engine). So, I'll leave for a few minutes, come back and turn it on and everything works like nothing ever happened. Like I said, this has happened just twice since August (when I purchased it).

2. Minor annoyance - When I play some MP3 CDs, some of the MP3 tags aren't reading correctly. It will display the correct name, but down on the bottom (where it displays the name and title of the song) it will have a 2 strange symbols (that look likea weird Y and P) and the first letter of the title or song. If needed, I can post a picture of this. It's almost like the tags aren't correct on my MP3s, but I've compared them to others that display correctly and they're the same.

3. Another minor annoyance or question - does it seem like your lights don't come on automatically when you feel like they should (like in fog), but be on other times when it seems like they shouldn't (brighter conditions)?

Go register your Tahoe at mygmlink.com and see if there are any updates or recalls for your VIN#.

That sucks man... I had some eletcrical problems with mine too.. brand new and it would be dead as a door nail sometimes. Called GM and had it towed to a dealer. They "Couldn't duplicate the problem". Next day it happened again. Called GM, they had it towed to another dealer since I was in a different area and they replaced the BCM or whatever electronic brain and it was down a couple weeks but since that fix its been perfect.

I have everything on my LTZ except navi & rear camera.

Just call GM and have the dealer fix it until it is fixed.

No excuses for problems with a $50,000 truck!

$50k is nothing, I have a partner that has owned several exotic's over the years, he currently drives a Ferrari 360 that I am sure cost him heaps of cash (nice car).

He also has an 07 Escalade, care to guess which one spends the most time in the shop?
You got it, and the Cadillac gets driven 10-times more then the 360.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Press the power **** to turn the navigation system on.
3. Touch the OK screen button to agree to the Caution screen.
4. Touch the Insert Map Disc screen button. The screen will tilt to access the map DVD slot.
5. Load the map DVD partway into the slot. The system will pull it in.
6. Once the map DVD is loaded, touch the Close screen button. The screen will close.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

Welcome to the forum.
Go to the Nav menu and press the "Map Database" button and then press "Change". I think this info is in the owner's manual also.

Guess I left the laptop to eat too long.
