Default friggin rock chip

Got my first windshield rock chip today arg! my Tahoe is almost 3 years old and not a mar until now.... will give the insurance co. a call in the morning to get the free fix....
They just repaved the roadway with a new "quite" asphalt and the Lexus in front of me kicked up a rock I guess as I never saw it, but sure heard the sharp plink! and noticed the new addition to my windshield.....

your lucky that it was the windsheild and not the hood. mine is 2010 and has a nice rock chip on the hood at 4000mi imagine how i feel hah lol

Oh man that does suck...
I got the windshield repaired today, they came out to my home and fixed it, repaired it right in the garage, took about 30min. He said if it would have been just a inch or so more to the center of the windshield ( more in the drivers line of sight) the windshield would have had to be replaced...
The fix was free a new windshield would have cost me $50.
