Front Suspension "Pop"
My 2001 Suburban 2500 has a noise in the front that my mechanic cannot find. After Backing up while turning (i.e. backing into a parking space), There is a pronounced "POP" when the steering is returned to center and the truck moves forward. Ball joints, tie rods, steering box, sway bar bushings, etc. all OK. Replaced upper driver's side ball joint. All others OK. No driveability issues. Just annoying POP. Any ideas?
Thanks for the reply. It is 2wd. Both wheel bearings are new. Will have sway bar link kits checked. Don't know whether they checked that or not. I do some of my own work so is there a visual or other check I might be able to do?
