This is weird, and I had the same issue with my ::cough:: Excursion, but when I'm putting gas in the tank of my 2008 Suburban 1500, the pump keeps clicking off. It doesn't matter the gas station. It's unique to this truck. is this a common issue with the Suburban? Is there a work around? A recall? It's like the fuel port is cockeyed or something and fills up quickly and shuts off the pump when it fills up.

Any thoughts?

 

it's usually a plugged tank or filler neck vent.

 

when filling, the tank must vent air out through the vent line to the charcoal cannister to the vent valve to the vent filter. any blockages in any of these will cause a hard fill.
if you have a CEL on post the codes. it may be related to the filling problem
