Default GForce Chip

We have an '09 Tahoe (5.3 liter) and I have been considering installing an aftermarket performance chip, for a little more hp and mileage. Has anyone had any experience with GForce chips? They appear to be bargain basemant priced, but then again.....
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Many thanks.

Go with a Programmer/ tuner . If you need to go to the dealer for warranty related issues, you can reprogram back to stock. this way if they plug into your port and check settings, everything will be stock. what happens if you purchase a tune and the dealer has to reprogram your PCM?

That's why you buy a separate ECM to put the tune on, then you can reinstall the original for service work.

A good tech can tell if there's been a programmer tune put in and then removed.

+1 With what shark said get a spare ecm cause even if the ecm is set back to factory spec. A snap shot of the ecm will tell the tech that it had a chip.Trans, motor, diff, replacement under warranty most of time gm requires the ecm to have a snap shot done for the claim to be approved to make sure the ecm was not chiped. hope this helps

may i buy BB, have program it, shipp in EU and just plug in ?? Hmmm, funny part, my brother (in EU) has already installed LPG.
Because the propane gas is half price cheaper than gas, hes gas millage is about half time higher. Thats so cool. He paid 1400 EU for conversion, 110 liters (30 gallon) propane tank is where spare tire was.

I purchased a Gforce performance chip for my 2008 Silverado. I lost 3 mpg's and can't get it back. They told me to send it back for testing and they would refund if it checked bad. After getting on ripoff.com it sounds like I won't get my money back period. Don't know that for sure yet, but we'll see. They gave me a suggestion on how to reset the ecm. That was to remove the neg. cable from battery, press down on brake pedal 5 to 10 times, wait 30 minutes and reconnect the battery. After about 50 miles it should be back to the original mpg. I'm in the process of doing that now. From what I've experienced I would not buy from Gforce performance chips. I'll keep searching google for another chip that actually works. Thanx, Ray

As the saying goes, doing the same thing over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.
