this isn't a good name for that. if it does it once your starter will be trashed.
this happens when a relay or starter solenoid hangs up causing your starter to stay engaged into the flywheel after the engine is running.
remote starts can cause this. Contact Chevy personally to find out if this is a known issue... And be quick about it !!!

the problem was the rebuilt starter was machined wrong so when you tried to start it the starter drive would hang up in fly wheel and not kick out when car started. got another starter now problem solved.
