Not sure how you figure that. I'm only pulling 70% of the max trailering limit of the Suburban with my camper. It pulls it pretty easily actually. And, to be honest, I just purchased the Suburban last April so it's only pulled the camper 4 times since I have had it. I live in West Michigan, we don't have no rolling hills here it's pretty flat all around.

A camper has a very large front area. Wind resistance is huge. I think you and I have basically identical trucks, as far as towing is concerned, and mine hates my enclosed trailer at highway speed. I towed it 150mi or so home and the first thing I did after parking it was pull the trans oil dip stick to see if the ATF smelled! I had a few hills to contend with but nothing major.
