Have you seen this?
I understand the need to have an option to defend yourself, but I really don't like gun owners, the ones I've encountered are really irresponsible. I ran into one of these ******** 2 years ago and he threatened to kill me several times because of a simple mistake.

For me, and this is strictly my opinion, I prefer to have my carry in the compartment. That is, unless I have it actually strapped to my person or in a pocket. Some situations call for "carry" to be just that- carried. Other times, maybe having it 'close by' is sufficient.
I could envision having on a holster and still placing the firearm in the storage bin. Then when leaving the car, take the firearm with you. I personally don't often carry in a holster when I'm driving because it would be too uncomfortable (physically).
I am able to raise the panel simply by pushing up on the corners, so it is not secure enough to use for storage when away from the vehicle. There's also no valet mode, either. Believe me, I wish it had been designed with more security.
but if you would of had your gun to protect yourself from the other guy with a gun...it would have all been ok....Thank god I live in Canada.
